Faithfull friends,
Helena here. I am so worried. As you know, I work in a school and I see how the kids change day to day. I see the worry on there little faces and I can tell you many of the parent's as well as the children look very worried.
I don't understand why congress has stopped the food stamps. I keep hearing different things, including that it is the Democrats fault, but I don't see how that can be when the house and the senate are both in the republican majority.
Whosever fault it is, it's not the children's fault!!! They should not be made to suffer while those bozos in congress fight.
I read today that President Trump is not wanting to release the money that is there to keep the SNAP going! Why??? And then I read that its going to take week's or month's to get the money to the people. This isn't right. AT ALL.
Friends, you know the Holy Bible as well as me and maybe better. but I do know that feeding the poor is important. I dont care who they vote for!!! Besides, even if they are all democrats taking all the benefit's (but how could it be???), the Bible is clear.

I don't have a lot of extra, but I fell so strong about this that I am buying a few extra cans at the store and taking them to the food bank. And also I dug in my sock drawer for some of the money I have stashed there and Im taking that to them too. I read somewhere that they can do a lot more with cash. So I hope my faithfull friends will also take note and give some food to the hungry. We cant let the little children suffer.
And I plan to give Representative Schmit a piece of my mind too.

You have the biggest heart, Helena! I have called to give Chip Roy a piece of my mind. Why isn't the house even in session?!?! They could be writing bills to provide SNAP or provide for money for people furloughed or working but not being paid. Can you imagine that Chip is being paid but not doing a THING? His people try to tell me how hard he is working and I say "talking is not doing." Get to work!!! This is wrong. I see a lot of people on Bluesky saying as how they don't care if people get paid SNAP and they should get a job. I have known people get assistance and it wasn't because they were lazy. Most are children and the elderly. Are we supposed to send them down into the mines to dig coal? I cannot for the life of me see how these people are Christian. I pray to Jesus that these people open their hearts.
