Portland

 Hello, Faith Full Friends. 

 Helena on a fine Wednesday afternoon!

 I had an auntie (now passed on) who lived near Portland for many years, and my sweet younger cousin still lives there (hi, Elizabeth!) 

 I heard President Trump talk about the awful things happening in Portland, that things were burning up and that the stores all had to close! I called Elizabeth to find out.   I love that town and it was very scary for me to hear that!!! I haven't been there for year's but I want to go there next summer (when its warm!!!)

She said that it isnt true at all! She said she has gone downtown a bunch of times and there are a few protesters here and about but no violence, no burning, all is just fine.

Why would President Trump say the other stuff? I don't know!!!

Elizabeth also said that there have been people in frog costumes out with the ICE people. What the heck! She sent me some pictures. My word, these silly frogs all out on the street with those scary ICE men.

 I am not sure what to think anymore. I do not like that Trump did not tell the truth about what is going on there. Elizabeth even facetimed me once to show me that everything is "normal" in Portland.

It really bother's me that President Trump made some stuff up about it. It's just not funny.

Pray for the Children

 Good evening! Helena here. 

 

Goodness! Alot of time has past again.It's real late and I'm running on fumes as they say but I wanted to jot a few things.

 

School is in! It's been a busy time! As some of you know, I am a lunch lady, a recess monitor and sometimes a crossing guard! Ive had to train a new gal too and it's been a bit much!

 

Please pray for the little ones, faith full friend's. The children's faces are showing some strain, I have to tell you. And there lunches are different this year. I tell you, our farmers are hurting something terrible, and it is showing in the kids. They look tired, and even skinnier. I try to keep cheerful for them, but I know that there weren't no soybeans going out this sesason. All the talk is how China isn't buying them. My heart brakes for those families!!!

 

Have you noticed that the shelves in the stores are a bit barer lately too?? Especially at Dollar General, it just seems that it's harder to find the thing's I need. I had too go back three times for hand sanitizer! It felt like the pandemic days all over again.  

 

I been thinking that the tarriff stuff has got to stop. I just hate that President Trump is insisting on this, and all I see are barren fields, empty shelves and higher price's too. 

 

And has this happened to anyone? My neice ordered a fancy dress to wear to a wedding this fall from somewhere in China and when it came UPS asked her to pay $107 more before she could get the package!!! What is happening?

 

This isn't right and I am feeling very mad and sad about it.  I just felt I needed to type it all out so I can get to sleep. I haven't been sleeping much!!! 

 

Please pray for our farmers most especially and the little children in school. 

 

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
